Job Description This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled respiratory therapist to deliver top-notch respiratory care treatments, oxygen services, diagnostic tests, and ventilation support for both inpatient and outpatient populations, ranging from neonatal to geriatric patients. As a key player in our team, you will monitor and adjust Oxygen Therapy and Artificial ventilation, perform arterial blood gas draws and analyses, conduct EKGs, and provide intermittent therapies. You will also assist with the changing of artificial airways, as well as ensure that services are performed as per physician orders and established protocols. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, with particular emphasis on neonatal care. Education Required: Associate's Degree Certifications Required: Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) PALS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in computer skills for data entry and patient information retrieval; adept at using Windows-style applications. Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of presenting information clearly and professionally. Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions. Job Duties Execute routine and advanced therapeutic procedures in accordance with established protocols. Thoroughly document and review all clinical information related to each patient. Educate patients and colleagues on therapies and treatment plans. Conduct diagnostic procedures and assessments. Provide tailored care addressing physical, psychosocial, education, safety, and age-appropriate criteria for each patient. Maintain professional certifications and stay updated on relevant technical procedures. Attend staff meetings and actively participate in team discussions. Undertake other duties as assigned.
