University Instructors is recruiting for placement of English Language Arts Tutors in Newport News, VA . As our Instructor you will assist middle and high school students students in building sustained reading, reading comprehension, writing, English, and grammar skills using the school districts curriculum. You will work one-to-one or small groups with students in a push-in/pull-out model. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist lead teacher by working with small groups in ELA comprehensions Re-teach strands students are struggling with to help facilitate successful state testing Offer targeted assistance in order to achieve measurable gains QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or other related fields Proficient in English related discipline
