Plant Engineer

Job description: Own long-term equipment reliability and asset performance using RCA, predictive maintenance, and modernization initiatives. Lead site CapEx planning and execution, including a $1M capital project planned for 2026. Manage maintenance budgets, workflows, and resource allocation to improve uptime and cost efficiency. Oversee maintenance of all facility, building, and production equipment. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations; implement engineering controls to reduce risk. Partner with operations to improve throughput, quality, and waste reduction. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and equipment upgrades. Direct and develop the maintenance organization, including 1 Maintenance Supervisor and ~15 mechanics/electricians. Plan and execute major shutdowns safely, on time, and within budget. Manage contractors and external engineering resources. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering. 6+ years of manufacturing project engineering experience. 2+ years of leadership experience managing skilled technical teams. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment. Experience managing capital projects and maintenance budgets. Working knowledge of safety and environmental regulations. ERP system experience (SAP preferred). Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
