On-Call Certified Surgical Technician

As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will ensure that all surgical equipment, instrumentation, and supplies are ready and available for procedures. Your expertise will help anticipate the needs of surgeons and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare. Your Job Requirements: High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent Graduate of a certified Surgical Technologist program, military trained, or AD in Surgical Technology preferred Basic Life Support certification Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required Advanced competencies in a minimum of 3 specialties (to be determined by the facility) Your Job Responsibilities: Anticipate the surgical team's needs, obtaining necessary instruments and supplies for procedures. Pass instruments to the surgeon and assistant during operations. Assist in the terminal cleaning of the operating room and preparation for subsequent cases. Organize and prepare instruments for terminal cleaning and sterilization. Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including count policy, universal protocol, and medication labeling. Mentor and guide students and less experienced staff on effective instrument handling techniques during surgeries. Methodist Celina Medical Center, located on a 40+ acre campus off Dallas Parkway, will serve as the community’s first full-service hospital, featuring 51 beds and plans for future expansion. The medical center will offer a wide range of services, including cardiology, women's services, orthopedics, and robotic surgery, along with a 40,000-square-foot medical office building.
