Painter

SUMMARY We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Painter to join our production team. The Painter is responsible for preparing, painting and finishing a variety of architectural metal products and components in accordance with company and industry standards. This positions plays a critical role in ensuring customer products meet appearance and durability requirements. Key Responsibilities Apply liquid paint to product surfaces in accordance with manufacturer and customer specifications. Reduce paint to in accordance with manufacturer product data sheets Perform on-line quality control procedures. Perform color changes including, but not limited to cleaning paint guns, pumps and pressure pots. Maintain a clean working environment and participate in regular planned maintenance activities. Troubleshoot common paint issues. Education, Experience and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of industrial or automotive painting experience preferred Knowledge of various painting techniques and surface preparation methods. Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work as a team or independently. Ability to work at a fast pace, on a constantly moving production line. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Painter is required to wear a respirator and candidate is required to pass a qualitative medical review and fit test.
