As an Employee Benefits Consulting Group Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative capabilities within the group employee and voluntary benefits sector. Your leadership will be essential in guiding our clients through technology implementations and optimizing business processes while integrating emerging trends. By harnessing AI and agentic AI, you will enhance relationships among brokers, benefit technology partners, employer groups, and their employees, ultimately driving transformation in group benefits operations. Key Responsibilities: Utilize creative approaches to tackle moderately complex challenges. Ensure alignment of projects with the strategic vision set by senior leadership. Exercise sound judgment in problem-solving; seek guidance as needed for more intricate issues. Collaborate primarily with supervisors and engage with both client and Accenture leadership. Generate fresh ideas and assist in their transition to market-ready offerings. Define methodologies and procedures for new assignments under guidance. Manage small teams or project efforts either on client sites or within Accenture. Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver significant client value where business meets technology. Act in the capacity of product manager or product owner during consulting and technology implementation projects. Be prepared to travel up to 80% of the time. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of consulting experience or related industry work, specifically in group benefits technology implementations and business process design. At least 2 years of experience with the group benefits value chain (quoting, proposals, onboarding, enrollment, data exchange, billing, remittance, absence, and disability claims). 3 or more years of experience working in agile environments, specifically as a product manager or product owner. A Bachelor's degree is required. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with benefits products, including life, absence, disability, voluntary, supplemental benefits, and stop-loss coverage. Understanding of the key needs of brokers, employer groups, employees, and benefit tech partners. Foundational knowledge of AI and agentic AI principles and their practical uses in life and annuities. Capability to design AI-enhanced workflows and partner with tech teams for implementation, ensuring compliance and ethical standards. Demonstrated ability to identify, shape, sell, and lead consulting engagements in the insurance sector. Innovative problem-solving skills to create solutions for claims challenges.
