Hours: 8AM - 5PM, Weekdays JOB SUMMARY This position develops and implements programs to enhance the overall skills of associates that provide bedside nursing care to the patient. The Multi-Specialty Clinical Resource Nurse works very closely with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement in patient care. The overall goal of the Multi-Specialty CRN is to facilitate the development of nursing staff that render care at the bedside. The Multi-Specialty Clinical Resource nurse will work alongside the critical care, surgical, medical-surgical, cath lab and cardiovascular surgery leadership teams to ensure the 2A and PCU staff are prepared to assist in care of patients associated with these service lines. This includes but is not limited to assisting with patient care, preparing staff to deal with appropriate drips, oxygen delivery devices, closure devices, drains, and wound dressings, and supporting/assisting quality initiatives through educational endeavors. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate School of Nursing with a Baccalaureate degree required. Master's Degree preferred. Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS required. Instructor cards or AHA Training Center Faculty status preferred. Licensure: Current RN License in the State of Georgia as evidenced by primary source of verification Experience: Two years of clinical experience in a medical-surgical, cardiac, or critical care environment; some management experience and previous teaching skills preferred. Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia. Good interpersonal skills and ability to learn managementskills. PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS Works in office and acute health care setting with adult, neonates, pediatric, adolescents and geriatric patients experiencing a wide range of medical problems. Requires flexible work schedule and On-call responsibilities. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
