Responsibilities: Become part of our dynamic team providing strategic and analytical support to our payer and provider clients. Assist clients in strategizing to retain market share, improve margins, and achieve significant cost savings. Exhibit strong critical thinking skills to bring clarity to complex challenges. Develop and review analytics, workpapers, and deliverables for both KPMG and client needs. Design and manage data applications that facilitate actuarial and other data-intensive tasks, including financial reporting and advanced analytics. Serve as a liaison between clients and senior management, while mentoring associates, new hires, and interns. Identify and communicate technical issues to clients and internal stakeholders, contributing to project planning and technical documentation. Qualifications: Minimum of three years' relevant experience in the health payer/provider sector, with a focus on commercial and government programs in a consulting or corporate setting, covering areas such as pricing, underwriting, financial reporting, data analytics, and risk adjustment. Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, applied statistics, finance, insurance, or mathematics from an accredited institution. Progress towards Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certification. Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and efficiently. Willingness to travel occasionally based on client needs. Strong understanding of business operations, with prior supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated success in automating and digitizing processes, including: Analyzing medical claims data to identify trends and savings opportunities. Writing cost and risk adjustment analytics to assist clients in realizing value. Evaluating financial statements to identify reporting enhancements. Conducting IBNR reserve analyses and reviewing actuarial behaviors for year-end financial audits in health and life insurance. Researching industry trends to support proposals and initiatives across various services. Working with large datasets to create models and utilize data visualization tools for insights. Additional Qualifications for Manager: Five years of experience in health payer/provider projects involving commercial and government programs, with significant emphasis on pricing, underwriting, financial reporting, data analytics, and risk adjustment.
