The Luce Elementary School is seeking an exceptional and dynamic candidate to serve as a Permanent Building Substitute from early February to Mid-May. JOB SUMMARY To provide instructional and supervisory support to students. The Permanent Building Substitute is a full-time position from early-February to Mid-May that mains purposes is to fill in for educational or instructional position with the school as needed by the building administration. This positions is an integral part of the successful day-to-day operations of building and support the entire school community. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Fill in as a classroom teacher, educational assistant or support personnel with the school building as assigned by the building principal Support the school, staff and students Be a positive and collaborative member of the school community Flexibility and patience are key to success in this role QUALIFICATIONS: High School degree required, Bachelors preferred Teaching degree preferred Recent experience working with school-age children Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable Other requirements as deemed necessary by the Superintendent of Schools REPORTS TO: building Principal/Assistant Principal SUPERVISES: Not Applicable WORK YEAR: Early February-Mid May COMPENSATION: $165 per day If you are unsure whether you meet the qualifications of this position, or how this would be determined, please feel free to reach out to the below contact for this position to discuss your application.
