Pharmacy Technician - Floor Operations Location: Lenexa, KS Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Work Setting: Fully On-Site Position Overview A pharmacy fulfillment center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily floor operations, including picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions for pharmacist verification. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and experienced in pharmacy workflows. Key Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision Process returned medications and handle recycling/disposal according to procedure Prepack frequently used medications, label, and store during low-volume periods Manually package materials and products as needed Pull and pick medications from shelving and storage areas Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy Notify the pharmacist of any items that do not scan correctly Maintain workstation cleanliness and restock supplies Follow all applicable regulations, including HIPAA Adhere to safety, attendance, and dress code policies Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Active and clear Kansas Pharmacy Technician License Preferred Qualifications Previous pharmacy technician experience Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk intermittently throughout the day Ability to sit or stand for 7-10 hours per shift Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally Finger dexterity for operating office and pharmacy equipment Visual acuity for reading fine print; ability to distinguish colors and adjust focus Ability to hear normal voice communication
