Company: Highmark Health Job Description: Job Overview Join Highmark Health as an IT Audit Associate, where you will play a crucial role in conducting audits related to information technology security, system implementations, and data privacy. Your insights will help us evaluate and enhance our risk management, control, and governance processes to ensure the safety, accuracy, and reliability of our information systems and protected health information (PHI) while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities Assist in identifying and assessing key risks in information technology, security, and data privacy. Plan and execute audits across the Highmark Health enterprise, ensuring adherence to professional standards while maintaining independence. Produce comprehensive audit work papers with clear documentation of findings. Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and experts to ensure timely delivery of audit requests and clarity throughout project lifecycles. Participate in the closure of audits, including identifying issues, developing reports, and reviewing documentation. Foster a positive working environment by building strong relationships with team members. Coordinate with external auditors during audit procedures when necessary. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education Requirements Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Experience Requirements Required: Experience in Information Systems auditing or related disciplines like Information Security or Change Management. Preferred: Familiarity with various computer platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, RACF, Linux, and Windows. Expertise in Cybersecurity and IT risk assurance. Experience with the Archer Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) suite. Certifications Preferred: Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Skills Strong understanding of internal audit functions, particularly in IT and data security. Ability to apply auditing standards (GAAS), accounting principles (GAAP), and IS industry practices in system evaluations. Effective project and resource management skills to deliver results. Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration. Adept at building relationships and working as a team player. Strong strategic thinker who proactively fosters trust with business units. Capable of managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Travel Requirements: 0%-25% This position is office-based and may require occasional site visits. Physical and Mental Demands: Primarily office-based work, lifting requirements include up to 10 pounds consistently and 10 to 25 pounds occasionally.
