Position Summary The Clinical Nursing Manager takes charge of the effective delivery, coordination, and oversight of home health services on a daily basis. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality patient care and serves as a key resource for clinical and managerial support. Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of Medicare regulations, State operations, and various compliance guidelines. This position aligns with the organizational goals for delivering high standards of care. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Contribute as a member of the leadership team at Peoples Home Health. Oversee clinical and patient care coordinators along with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, Therapists, Social Workers, and CNAs, ensuring the highest quality of patient care is delivered. Manage quality assurance data and performance improvement initiatives to ensure adherence to all state, federal, and accreditation guidelines. Engage in staff selection, orientation, and assignment while participating in the development and evaluation of performance standards. Act as a clinical resource for team members and facilitate communication between the Intake Department, Business Development Team, and Patient Care Coordinators. Screen admissions, recertifications, and re-assessments to provide appropriate plans of care. Monitor staff availability to guarantee adequate coverage for patient assignments. Maintain strong clinical skills to supervise assessment, implementation, and delivery of care in home settings. Assist with the onboarding process for new employees. Review and validate physician orders and care plans to ensure timely and accurate execution. Evaluate the quality of patient care delivery through case conferencing, documentation review, and monitoring personnel scheduling. Ensure clinical documentation and visit notes accurately reflect the skilled care provided for reimbursement purposes. Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and CHAP accreditation processes. Prioritize customer satisfaction by identifying and resolving issues effectively. Participate actively in State and CHAP surveys for accreditation and recertification. Conduct field visits for staff education and supervision, focusing on clinical performance and training. Lead annual training sessions and skills labs to uphold clinical staff competencies. Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and educational programs for team members. Engage in clinical administrative on-call duties as needed and assist with scheduling. Educate staff on compliance and safety protocols according to OSHA, AHCA, and CHAP standards. Support the Director of Nursing and Director of Clinical Services in maintaining agency policy manuals and reference materials. Foster positive relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and external partners. Represent the Agency professionally and engage in community events to boost awareness and referrals. Participate in developing specialty programs and continuing education to enhance clinical competencies. Understand and promote the organization’s mission, vision, and goals. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, understanding the company structure and workflow. Ensure a welcoming atmosphere for visitors while upholding patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA guidelines. Contribute to emergency preparedness initiatives and the implementation of contingency plans. Attend and engage in mandatory meetings and committee activities as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education/Experience Graduation from an accredited RN program; BSN preferred. A minimum of 5 years of RN experience in a supervisory capacity. At least 2 years of experience in Home Health. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations Current RN licensure in Florida. Valid driver's license and auto insurance. Current CPR certification. Working Conditions This role involves office and home environments, with potential exposure to biological hazards.
