Refrigeration/Mechanical Startup Technician

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a refrigeration/mechanical startup technician. Responsibilities include completing startup checklists and commissioning equipment for industrial equipment (screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, evaporative condensers, evaporators, pumps and air handling units); diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment during startup; developing pump down and tie-in plans; redlining as-built drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment schedules and layout drawings; managing ARM/PSM documentation; performing mechanical integrity inspections; reviewing construction drawing for constructability and serviceability. Travel will be required.The successful candidate will have at least eight years of relevant experience.The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues; completing startup checklists; commissioning industrial equipment; interpreting construction drawings and specifications; site construction safety training.
