Category Sourcing Manager – Capital EquipmentRemote (Preferably Midwest, Southeast, East Coast) | Travel 20–25% Well-established chemical manufacturer looking for a strong sourcing professional to own capital equipment procurement across North America. This is a high-impact role partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to drive supplier strategy, negotiations, and total cost of ownership. What we need to see:• 5+ years with a bachelor’s OR 10+ years without a degree in progressive buying/sourcing• Technical background with capital equipment (process, mechanical, electrical, rotating, instrumentation)• Experience negotiating complex equipment & service contracts• Preferred industries: specialty chemical, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing• ERP experience (SAP ideal) + strong Excel/data skills What you’ll do:• Build category strategies for major process & fixed equipment• Lead RFx events and supplier negotiations• Partner with engineering & operations on capital projects• Manage supplier performance, warranties, and risk• Deliver measurable savings and productivity improvements This team values collaboration, straight talk, and people who can balance technical detail with commercial savvy.
