Position Overview: The Technology Associate - Tax Solutions is pivotal in driving the integration of AI and technology solutions for our team of over 1,000 tax professionals. This exciting role positions you at the intersection of tax expertise and state-of-the-art technology implementation. Collaborate with tax subject matter experts (SMEs) and product teams to create effective tools, workflows, and training programs that enhance productivity. Key Skills Required: Tax Knowledge: Understanding of tax concepts and the ability to engage with tax SMEs to assess workflows and challenges. AI Utilization: Experience in utilizing ChatGPT or similar AI tools to enhance workflows and create standardized processes. Requirements Development: Proficiency in gathering requirements and documenting user stories to translate complex tasks into actionable items. Training Experience: Proven ability to lead training sessions tailored to various skill levels, ensuring effective learning outcomes. Tool Development Skills: Capability to collaborate with tax practitioners in building and configuring effective tools and workflows. Quality Assurance: Background in planning user acceptance testing and implementing feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement. Communication Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create user-friendly documentation and promote positive behavioral changes. Your Responsibilities Include: Requirements Gathering: Work with tax SMEs to identify key workflows for technological enhancement and develop comprehensive documentation for tool development. Training Delivery: Design and facilitate training programs that translate AI concepts into practical applications for tax personnel. Collaboration: Support the development of AI-driven workflows and tools while converting innovative ideas into standardized formats. Communications: Create and distribute internal communications to foster adoption and uniformity in practices. Quality Control: Conduct testing, document insights, and implement improvements to ensure the efficiency of tools and workflows. Collaborative Environment: Work closely with tax practitioners, leadership, technology teams, and compliance stakeholders to ensure the responsible and effective use of technology. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting (with a focus on tax), or a related field. Understanding of tax workflows with the ability to translate them into technical requirements. Proficiency in AI tools like ChatGPT for structuring workflows and guidance. Strong interpersonal skills to establish credibility and lead group training sessions. Organizational discipline in documenting processes and managing project backlogs. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with coding or automation tools (e.g., Python) for enhancing workflows. Experience using Microsoft Azure and its AI services. Knowledge of document extraction and classification tools such as Azure AI Document Intelligence. Understanding of Agile practices with experience in backlog management. Experience with automation tools like Alteryx. This role may be filled at either the Associate or Senior Associate level, with compensation based on experience.
