If you're passionate about shaping your future, consider joining our team as a Structured Finance Intern in our Audit and Assurance division. Responsibilities: Conduct due diligence reviews and aid in financial due diligence for financing and securitization transactions involving Fortune 100 companies, private equity firms, specialty finance companies, and securitization issuers. Analyze financial data to identify key performance trends, assisting lenders in evaluating borrower profiles. Engage in securitization tasks related to agency multifamily-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations, collateralized debt obligations, mortgage-backed securities, and asset-backed securities. Execute substantive procedures on working capital accounts; create discounted cash flow models and financial structures oriented toward securitization; and prepare collateral stratification tables for various asset-backed security assets. Assist in developing tailored client transaction advisory reports with insights on key engagement and financing issues, and compile supporting working papers for financial risk management and audit engagements. Conduct compliance testing linked to client agreements involving investment banks, issuers, regulators, government agencies, and investors. Stay informed about structured debt instruments and research tax issues affecting asset-backed securities, generating necessary U.S. federal income tax forms and assisting with project planning and development. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business-Related major, or Engineering. Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher. Strong technical and critical thinking skills with proficiency in managing data and using MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with VBA, Python, Alteryx, or Tableau is preferred. Ability to articulate financial analysis and tax-related issues effectively. Excellent communication, time management, leadership skills; adaptable team player with a commitment to delivering exceptional work. Must be able to commute to the office and be prepared to travel to client sites as required, using personal means of transportation. This role requires working in-person at a KPMG office or client site at least three days a week, with some locations requiring potential travel and overnight stays. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
