GENERAL PURPOSE: The Store Operations Supervisor is integral to the Store Leadership, overseeing specific store areas and managing overall operations when acting as the Manager on Duty. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment. This role is also accountable for merchandise presentation and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments: Prioritizes safety, practicing safe behaviors to create a secure shopping experience. Maintains awareness on the sales floor to identify and rectify unsafe conditions immediately. Ensures security protocols are followed, including proper access control and daily equipment checks. Customer Service: Treats all customers and associates with respect and displays a courteous demeanor at all times. Recognizes and appreciates associates through company recognition programs. General Merchandising: Ensures merchandise recovery, sizing, and markdowns are executed to company standards. Responsible for receiving merchandise and its efficient processing. Maintains cleanliness and organization in stockrooms, ensuring compliance with display guidelines. Loss Prevention: Abides by the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, creating a heightened sense of security on the sales floor. Handles sensitive information and cash with integrity. Front End Operations: Maintains productivity at the front end, managing customer lines effectively. Trains associates on cash register procedures and customer engagement. Administrative Duties: Ensures compliance with cash handling policies and aids in payroll administration. Assists the Store Manager with various operational tasks as needed. COMPETENCIES: Manages Work Processes Business Acumen Plans, Aligns & Prioritizes Builds Talent Collaborates Leads by Example Communicates Effectively Ensures Accountability & Execution QUALIFICATIONS: Strong verbal communication skills in English. Prior customer service or supervisory experience preferred. Basic mathematical abilities commonly found in retail. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and move for extended periods. Occasional lifting of items over 25 lbs. may be required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises retail associates and stockroom leads, where applicable.
