One of our clients, an ophthalmology practice, is looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join their team. The position is full-time. Salary: $20/hr - $25/hr. Location: Warren, MI & Macomb Township, MI. Job Description: As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our physicians with patient care by performing a variety of diagnostic tests, measurements, and evaluations. You will be responsible for ensuring patients receive the best possible care while helping with the administration of eye medications and performing refractions. Responsibilities & duties:Perform diagnostic tests and measurements related to eye health. Assist physicians during eye exams and treatments. Administer eye medications as directed. Perform refractions to assess vision accuracy. Provide patients with excellent customer service and clear explanations of procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all data is entered into the system. Use ophthalmic equipment proficiently and ensure that all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly. Collaborate with the medical team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient care. Qualifications:Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician is preferred. In-depth knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, ocular anatomy, and common eye conditions. Proficiency in using ophthalmic equipment and performing various diagnostic tests. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
