Join our dynamic team and play an essential role in enhancing telecom connectivity! We are on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Telecom Permits Manager to lead our long-haul telecom projects. In this vital position, you will oversee the entire permitting process, ensuring that each project progresses smoothly and complies with all regulations. Your knowledge of building codes, ordinances, and permitting protocols will be crucial in enabling us to deliver top-notch infrastructure without unnecessary delays. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the complete lifecycle of permitting activities for long-haul telecom projects. Compile and submit detailed permit packages to local, state, and federal authorities. Monitor and track permit statuses to ensure timely project approvals and progress. Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to synchronize permitting with project schedules. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, ordinances, and regulatory standards. Research and implement regulatory updates to keep projects aligned with current requirements. Act as the main contact for permitting inquiries and interaction with stakeholders. Quickly resolve any permitting issues to prevent delays and maintain project momentum. Qualifications: Two to five years of experience in permitting or regulatory compliance, preferably in sectors such as telecom, power, gas, construction, or other utilities. Demonstrated ability to prepare and submit successful permit packages. In-depth knowledge of zoning, building codes, ordinances, permitting processes, and local regulations including DOT/Federal/County guidelines. Understanding of outside plant design principles, work order protocols, and telecom standards. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and engineering plans. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and scheduling tools; familiarity with Quick Base is a plus. Skilled in researching and applying regulatory updates effectively. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities; comfortable engaging with stakeholders. Responsive to client needs and adept at managing standard project requests. Working Conditions: Willingness to travel as necessary to coordinate with agencies, attend meetings, or support project sites. This position will initially be remote and will transition to a full-time, in-office role once our new office in Florence, Kentucky, opens.
