You will be the face of our company, fostering lasting relationships with our customers. The CDL A Driver will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck on local and long-distance routes to deliver food and food-related products, following all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Professionally communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers to provide accurate and timely responses. Collaborate as a team member, performing necessary duties to best serve the company. Conduct pre/post-trip safety checks, ensuring that vehicles meet safety standards. Report safety concerns and required repairs immediately. Adhere to all DOT regulations and company driving policies. Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight. Verify loaded items against customer invoices. Navigate to customer locations as per the delivery schedule. Unload products and transport items to designated storage areas. Perform damage control checks and follow company policy for managing returns. Confirm delivery with customers and collect payment where required. Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of each shift. Maintain cleanliness in trucks and loading areas as required. Complete other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 12+ months of commercial driving experience Valid CDL-A Must be at least 21 years of age Must meet all state licensing and certification requirements Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the last 3 years Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check Pass a road test Hold a valid DOT Health Card or eligible to obtain one Able to lift and transport product cases weighing between 10-90 pounds using appropriate equipment About Us: Performance Foodservice, part of Performance Food Group (PFG), serves a wide array of customers, including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries.
