Job Description As a Senior Product Manager - Construction Solutions, you will serve as a key individual contributor responsible for shaping and advancing essential construction capabilities within the NetSuite ERP platform. This role involves owning the strategic direction for delivering a comprehensive construction-ready ERP solution with a focus on: Construction accounting Project financial management Industry compliance Contractor and subcontractor workflows Your objective will be to establish NetSuite as the leading ERP platform in the construction sector, catering to general contractors, subcontractors, and builders. You will define the necessary features to be integrated within NetSuite to effectively compete against specialized construction platforms while maintaining NetSuite's core financial advantages. Success metrics include vertical ARR growth, enhanced competitive win rates, adoption of new construction capabilities, and defining our industry stance. Core Responsibilities Construction Product Strategy & Leadership Develop and own the product strategy for Construction within the NetSuite ERP ecosystem. Lead the identification and prioritization of new features essential for construction accounting and financial management of projects. Translate the complexities of contractor and builder operations into scalable ERP functionalities. Collaborate with Engineering to ensure the delivery of impactful vertical enhancements. Construction Domain Expertise Act as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas including: Job costing and cost-to-complete forecasting Work-in-progress (WIP) reporting Percentage-of-completion revenue recognition AIA progress billing and retention management Change order tracking and financial impact analysis Subcontract management and pay applications Project budgeting and forecasting Equipment cost allocation and utilization Multi-project and multi-entity consolidation Compliance and audit readiness in construction accounting Understand the integration requirements of ERP with field project management systems (e.g., Procore). Construction Accounting & Compliance Focus Enhance NetSuite's capabilities in: ASC 606 revenue recognition for construction WIP schedules and financial transparency Bonding and surety reporting requirements Cash flow forecasting by project Audit-ready financial controls Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Competitive Differentiation Identify performance gaps against specialized construction solutions (e.g., Procore, Sage Intacct Construction, Viewpoint). Determine areas where NetSuite should build, partner, or integrate. Establish a vision for integrating ERP with AI for enhanced construction financial insight. AI-Driven Innovation Lead the initiative for AI-enabled use cases in construction, including: Predictive analysis for cost overruns Margin risk detection per project Automated WIP variance analysis Financial impact modeling for change orders Cash flow risk forecasting Cross-Functional Collaboration Influence outcomes across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. Provide support for strategic construction deals requiring product credibility. Operate independently with minimal oversight aligned with senior-level expectations. Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree in a relevant field. 10+ years of experience in product management or leading industry solutions. Extensive knowledge of construction accounting and financial operations for contractors. Strong grasp of job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and compliance requirements. Experience with ERP systems is essential; familiarity with NetSuite is highly advantageous. Proven track record of converting industry needs into scalable product capabilities. Outstanding skills in executive communication and stakeholder influence. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Procore or similar project management tools. Knowledge of Oracle Construction products (Primavera, Textura, Aconex). Experience in mid-market and upper mid-market contractor environments. MBA or equivalent professional education is a plus. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this role is between $82,500 and $199,500 per annum. This includes eligibility for bonuses and equity.
