Reporting to the Manager of User Experience, this role drives research strategy for complex initiatives, mentors analysts in research methods and processes, and ensures that user insights influence design and product decisions to improve adoption, usability, and digital wellbeing.RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership and Management Lead complex UX research and evaluation initiatives independently, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with stakeholder expectations. Mentor analysts and team members in research methods, synthesis approaches, and implementation best practices. Functional / User-Centric Responsibilities Lead and direct UX research, design, and evaluation projects for employee-facing products, services, and systems. Analyze complex qualitative and quantitative datasets and translate findings into actionable strategic insights. Develop advanced dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint to communicate outcomes to diverse audiences, including senior leadership. Provide recommendations for optimizing user experience based on KPI trends, thematic feedback, workflow impacts, and other user-centric data. Monitor and triage Voice of the User feedback and guide escalation and prioritization across teams. Operational Excellence Manage complex research and evaluation projects independently, establishing project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Continuously improve UX research processes through workshops, retrospectives, and applied research. Establish and maintain documentation standards to ensure scalability and consistency across the UX research program. Collaboration and Communication Foster strong professional relationships with stakeholders, senior leaders, and community champions. Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops that align teams around user needs and research outcomes. Promote integration of research insights into design and product delivery practices. Compliance and Program Development Establish process protocols and support onboarding and development of new team members. Promote user-centered practices through presentations, teach-backs, and educational materials. Ensure research practices align with applicable organizational standards and best practices. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. WORK REQUIREMENTSTravel Minimal travel may be required. Work Type Hybrid work model. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience required. Experience Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in UX research or a related field required. Seven (7) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required) Advanced expertise in qualitative research methods, quantitative analysis, and user-centered design principles. Proven ability to independently lead complex research initiatives. Advanced communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated mentoring capability and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation Master's degree preferred. Experience Experience working with healthcare workflows and/or Epic systems preferred. Evidence of thought leadership in UX research such as publications or presentations preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Preferred) Advanced proficiency with survey tools, analytics and data visualization platforms, and collaboration/design tools. advanced SQL skills Power BI or Tableau experience advanced story telling with data PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks.
