Position Overview We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) and Clinical Engineering operations for a premier 330+ bed medical center in the Las Vegas valley. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management of medical equipment, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This is a clinical engineering leadership role, focusing on the intersection of medical technology and patient care. The Director will lead a dedicated team of technicians, manage multi-million dollar vendor contracts, and align technology investments with the hospital's long-term clinical goals. Key Areas of Responsibility Strategic HTM Leadership: Define the long-term roadmap for medical technology, including assessment, acquisition, and lifecycle planning. Operational Management: Direct daily biomedical operations, creating customized service plans and driving performance across the HTM team. Risk & Security Oversight: Lead risk analysis and medical device cybersecurity initiatives to protect the clinical network and patient data. Compliance & Quality: Ensure the facility remains in constant "survey-ready" status, exceeding requirements for The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory bodies. Financial Stewardship: Manage departmental budgets, fiduciary reporting, and vendor contract negotiations to optimize ROI on medical equipment. KPI Development: Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure peak equipment uptime and service response levels. Required Qualifications Experience: 5-8 years of progressive experience in Clinical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering, with a proven track record in a leadership or supervisory role. Education: Minimum of a Technical School certification or Associate's Degree in a related field; Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of HTM programs and hands-on experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platforms. Clinical Proficiency: Deep understanding of medical device integration and the safety protocols required in a high-acuity hospital environment. Business Acumen: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing vendor relationships and service contracts.
