DERM LPN SPECIALIST OR DERM TECH - FULL TIME

Job Type Full-time Description THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEED TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT Summary/Objective: Perform a variety of clinical and/or administrative task to help a dermatologist run their office Essential Functions • Summons and prepares patient for office visit. • Assists Physician or PA with medical office procedures. • Administers medications, including injections, documents meds given or prescribed by ordering provider. • Administers dermatology and pathology biopsy procedures. • Assumes responsibility of maintaining current certification in CPR. • Accepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policy & procedures and newsletters. • Adheres to nursing policy and procedure when documenting in patient's record. • Attends support staff and department meetings to keep informed of employee issues and concerns as well as organizational updates. • Maintains confidentiality of clinic materials. • Provides and reinforces patient instruction and education as indicated. Full time- M-TH 7:45-430; Fri 7:45-12 Requirements LPN Specialist requirements are:Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse. 1 year experience in Dermatology. Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements are:Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment Additional Qualification: 1 Year experience Dermatology.
