JOB DESCRIPTION Description: FSQ Technician - Avon Millthe intent is to convert to full-time on 3rd shift 3rd shift- 11pm - 7am OVERVIEW Reporting directly to Sr. Quality Engineer, this role supports various plant Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) functions to ensure safe and high-quality finished products on 3rd shift. The Avon plant is located just outside of Des Moines, IA, and produces Betty Crocker baking mixes and food service bakery flour. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Support Avon's FSQ programs through various analytical testing, physical auditing, verification and administrative duties. • Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation program compliance through daily and monthly verification and audits. • Support plant HACCP program implementation through record verification. • Partner with operation managers, team leaders and Quality Engineers to support production, decision making, issue management and risk assessment. • Manage hold orders and plant sensory program. • Provide training in the area of food safety, regulatory, sanitation and quality measurement systems to appropriate plant personnel. • Support additional FSRA (Food Safety & Regulatory Assessment) and plant activities as assigned. • Be trained as a primary back-up to the flour lab technician responsible for flour quality monitoring and specification compliance.
