First-time travelers are accepted if they have Level 1 Trauma experience. Call requirement is 90-120 hours in a 6-week schedule. Effective 11/30/24, Indiana RNs will not be able to work in client facilities. Last day for Indiana RNs to start a new contract is 9/9, allowing them to finish a contract by 11/30. Periop/OR RNs, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Min. 2 years of experience required in the following surgical cases: - Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair - Atherectomy - Atrial Septal defect repair - Cardiomyoplasty - Carotid Endarterectomy - Coronary Artery Bypass Graft - Endovascular Aneurysm Repair - Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR) - Femoral popliteal bypass graft - Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery - Mitral valve replacement - Pericardial window - Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery - Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) - Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR) - Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) - Heart and Lung Transplant - Valve Replacement - Aortic Dissection Travelers must meet Tier 2 compliance requirements. University must be accredited at time of graduation. Two supervisor references are required. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Floating is 100% required of all travelers. Candidates will float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities. No specific charting required for this position. Candidates must meet all certification requirements as per the job description. All permanent or PRN employees must be away for 12 months before applying as travelers. Travelers with 12 months of travel employment are required to take a designated break to reset travel eligibility. Out-of-state residents require a 90-day break to reset eligibility. In-state residents require a 180-day break to reset eligibility.
