About the job Maintenance & Reliability Manager Overview A growing food manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead plant maintenance operations and ensure the reliability of production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and continuous operations across a high-volume production environment that includes bread, batter, and fryer processing systems. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience within food manufacturing maintenance, refrigeration systems, wastewater operations, and industrial mechanical/electrical systems. This position offers the opportunity to lead maintenance strategy, improve equipment reliability, and support long-term plant performance. Key ResponsibilitiesLead Plant Maintenance Operations Manage all maintenance activities for production equipment, utilities, and plant facilities. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process equipment issues. Equipment Reliability & Continuous Improvement Drive initiatives that improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and increase plant efficiency. Develop maintenance standards and procedures to support consistent operations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction. Capital Projects & Engineering Support Support facility expansions, equipment upgrades, and plant modifications. Manage maintenance-related capital projects and equipment installations. Coordinate with engineering, operations, and external contractors on plant improvements. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and plant safety standards. Promote safe work practices across maintenance and production teams. Maintain regulatory compliance within food manufacturing operations. Team Leadership Lead and develop maintenance technicians and supervisors. Provide support across multiple shifts when needed. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence. Required Qualifications5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in food manufacturing Experience working with bread, batter, and fryer processing equipment Hands-on knowledge of refrigeration systems and wastewater treatment Strong background in industrial mechanical and electrical systems Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems Ability to manage maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience Preferred Skills Preventive and predictive maintenance programs Capital project planning and equipment installation Continuous improvement and process optimization Vendor and contractor management Experience with CAD systems and PLC troubleshooting Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office tools Work Environment This position operates in an active manufacturing environment and may include exposure to: High-noise production areas Temperature ranges from -40°F to 110°F Required PPE including hearing protection and safety glasses Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs Extended schedules during peak production periods Why Join This Opportunity Senior leadership role within a growing food manufacturing operation Competitive executive-level compensation Relocation assistance available Opportunity to build and improve maintenance systems and plant reliability Package Details Location: Ponca City, Oklahoma Salary: $140,000 - $195,000 Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Relocation Assistance: Available Industry: Food & Beverage Manufacturing
