Controller/Director of Accounting

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $170,000 to $190,000 per year. Job Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, reconciliations, and financial reports. Lead accounting operations such as AP/AR, sales settlements, loyalty programs, and gift card tracking. Oversee period, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting. Analyze operating results against budgets and forecasts, and support ad hoc financial analysis. Coordinate annual audits and tax provisions, delivering required schedules for compliance. Requirements: Ensure compliance with US GAAP and serve as a key liaison on financial matters. Partner with the finance team to support budget preparation and financial planning. Oversee inventory management and implement controls to minimize waste and ensure accuracy. Develop and implement internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement. Adapt to new responsibilities and support evolving business needs in a dynamic environment. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is required. 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with multi-unit industry exposure. Demonstrate experience in the restaurant industry or similar service-based environments. Communicate effectively and lead teams, vendors, and complex projects with a hands-on approach.
