Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst with strong experience in accounting, cost accounting, or financial analytics within healthcare to join our dynamic Business Intelligence team. This role will play a key part in supporting financial and operational decision-making across the organization.As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will develop and maintain consultative partnerships with finance leaders, operational stakeholders, and other key business partners. You will leverage your financial and accounting expertise to translate complex data into meaningful insights that drive strategy, improve visibility into cost structures, and strengthen financial performance across service lines.Key Responsibilities: Develop, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to deliver business intelligence solutions that support the health system's mission and strategic goals. Apply knowledge of healthcare accounting, cost accounting, and financial analytics to support initiatives such as cost-of-care analysis, productivity reporting, service line performance, forecasting, and budgeting support. Collaborate with technical teams and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team to design and enhance data infrastructure needed for accurate and scalable financial reporting and analytics. Support, maintain, and optimize BI tools and systems used by financial and operational teams; assist end-users in understanding and applying financial data effectively. Contribute to data governance activities, including documentation of processes, BI tool usage, financial data definitions, data lineage, and maintenance of analytic asset inventories. Drive improvements in financial data quality, reporting consistency, and analytic clarity across the organization. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, IT, or Math. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in data analysis of complex, large data sets, preferably in healthcare . Preferred Experience & Background: Strong foundation in accounting, cost accounting, or financial analytics , ideally within a healthcare environment. Experience working with financial datasets such as general ledger, cost accounting systems, payer data, productivity data, or revenue cycle metrics. Ability to translate financial concepts into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
