Perform advanced cardiovascular imaging and assist in interventional procedures within a multidisciplinary cath lab environment. This role involves supporting specialties such as Interventional Cardiology, Neurology, Radiology, and Electrophysiology. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate comprehensive technical skills and patient-centered care throughout diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Key Responsibilities: Confirm patient identity and review necessary consents; assess allergies and history of contrast reactions. Prepare sterile supplies and verify medication types, amounts, and expiration dates. Monitor and document vital signs, distal pulses, and procedural data before, during, and after interventions. Maintain strict aseptic technique, assist physicians during procedures, and handle biohazard materials safely. Operate and calibrate medical and imaging equipment, optimizing image quality while minimizing radiation exposure. Administer injectable medications as ordered, including emergency drugs. Assist with vascular access and execute post-procedural care, including application of pressure and wound dressings. Educate and mentor students and colleagues in clinical procedures. Adhere to radiation safety protocols, monitor doses, and document fluoroscopy use accurately. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited radiology program. IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation. ARRT certifications: Registered Radiologic Technologist (R), Vascular Interventional (VI), or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI). Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. Strong familiarity with cath lab equipment and protocols.
