We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, vision, and dental insurance 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off and paid holidays Position: Quality TechnicianShift & Schedule Full-time Day Shift position (Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM) Shift schedule may vary based on production needs. Hours to be confirmed during the interview process. Overtime may be required as business demands Position Summary The Quality Lab Technician supports quality testing, inspection, and process verification activities within the laboratory and production environment. This role performs visual inspections, product testing, dock audits, and documentation to ensure all products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. The position also provides timely feedback to production teams to support continuous quality improvement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct visual inspections of outgoing product using approved inspection criteria Perform laboratory testing and record accurate results in the lab database Inspect products for visual attributes and defects Monitor lab equipment, inspection fixtures, retention samples, and testing materials Support sample processing, gauging, and trial-run documentation when required Maintain organized testing records, retention logs, and daily activity documentation Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and document control requirements Perform outgoing dock audits to verify labels, packaging, counts, and part identification against customer requirements Assist with Layered Process Audits (LPAs), including checks on operators, equipment, work instructions, gauges, racks, and process parameters Communicate findings and quality concerns to the quality and production teams Perform additional duties as assigned Required Competencies, Skills & Experience Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal inspection instructions Basic math skills for measurement and documentation Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills and the ability to report findings clearly Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with plated plastics, automotive components, or similar manufactured products Experience performing inspections or quality audits in a manufacturing environment Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Work Environment & Physical Demands Work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments Stand, walk, or sit depending on the task being performed Repetitive use of hands for inspection and testing activities Lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds Stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and reach as required Potential exposure to varying temperatures within the manufacturing environment Equal Opportunity Employer MPC Plating is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
