Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance as a condition and continuation of employmentSenior Electrical Design & Test EngineerWork Schedule: 9/80 Location: Onsite Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM required Overview We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design & Test Engineer to support the design, analysis, troubleshooting, and integration of complex electrical and mixedsignal systems. The role involves handson hardware development, test equipment usage, crossdisciplinary collaboration, and support for engineering team leadership. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Minimum 8+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 5+ years with an advanced degree) Experience with electrical engineering design, including troubleshooting, analysis, and testing Handson proficiency with electrical design tools such as: Altium Designer DxDesigner Mentor Capital Creo Schematic Experience using test equipment such as: Oscilloscopes Digital Multimeters (DMMs) Network Analyzers Power Meters Experience performing schematic capture and interpreting electrical schematics Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in STEM (ABET accreditation preferred but not required) Experience providing technical leadership within multidisciplinary engineering teams Experience in analog, digital, and/or RF design Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixedsignal, or electrical interconnect systems Familiarity with IDEs and debugging tools for software troubleshooting Ability to selfmanage workload and meet deadlines independently Strong teamwork and collaboration experience Strong technical writing and formal presentation skills Ability to lead single or multidiscipline engineering teams Project management experience Experience supporting bids and proposals (BOEs, SOWs, etc.) Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques Experience developing or utilizing programming languages for hardware testing or automation Ability to adapt existing designs to support new Units Under Test (UUTs) Strong troubleshooting and rootcause analysis capabilities EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
