Description Are you ready to take your IT System Administration career to the next level? Join Leidos-Dynetics in our Corporate Information Security Office (CISO) as a motivated Linux Systems Specialist. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the secure and efficient operation of various information systems. Your duties will include conducting regular vulnerability scans and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to maintain regulatory compliance. Mastery of Linux, networking, and Windows is essential in our diverse tech environment. You'll need to communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate with cross-sector teams to achieve our organizational goals. Clearance: A current Top Secret clearance is required for consideration. Our ideal candidate is a reliable troubleshooter skilled in managing multiple priorities and thrives under pressure. Whether independently or collaboratively, you maintain a customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities: Design systems and implement new hardware/software. Maintain Linux, network devices, and Windows endpoints. Ensure compliance with DOD standards for information systems. Coordinate with the Information Assurance team on compliance matters. Manage privileged access and careful handling of classified materials. Maintain baseline configurations for various information systems. Lead and manage multiple projects within your area of responsibility. Adopt new technologies and ensure staff training for compliance. Maintain a robust virtual and physical environment. Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of eight (8) years in System Administration. At least 4 years of experience administering Linux operating systems. Currently hold active DoD Top Secret clearance. DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP). Proven ability to manage multiple networks in a dynamic and demanding environment. Familiarity with Risk Management Framework requirements for Windows, Linux, and network devices. Effective communication skills for interfacing with security agencies, customers, and management. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in maintaining networks within classified environments. Understanding of network concepts, Type 1 encryption devices, and cybersecurity tools. Knowledge of VOIP technologies. Experience with Ansible. RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) certification. If you're looking for comfort, this may not be the right position for you. Pay Range: $92,300.00 - $166,850.00 The Leidos pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation.
