Auto Dealership Service Technician

Job Title: Automotive Service Technician for Used & New Vehicle Inventory Location: Wilkinson Cadillac Chevrolet GMC Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Occasional Saturdays 8:30-1:00)  Job Summary  Wilkinson Cadillac Chevrolet GMC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. This individual will be responsible for performing detailed inspections, routine maintenance, and mechanical repairs on all used and new vehicle inventory. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and has a positive, solution-driven attitude.  What We Offer  Competitive Pay Based on Experience  Health & Life Insurance Coverage  Paid Time Off and Sick Leave  401(k) Plan with Company Match  Steady Full-Time Hours – Monday through Friday  Occasional Saturdays  Key Responsibilities  Conduct comprehensive multi-point inspections on used and new vehicles  Perform scheduled maintenance services (oil changes, brakes, tire rotations, etc.)  Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues accurately  Execute necessary repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards  Get vehicles retail-ready for the sales lot (used and new inventory)  Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding vehicle condition and recommendations  Install GM accessories on both customer and dealership inventory vehicles  Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols  Qualifications  Solid understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures  Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues  Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship  Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor  Team-oriented with a positive, proactive mindset  Valid driver's license with a clean driving record  GM certification or relevant experience preferred but not required  About Us  At Wilkinson Cadillac Chevrolet GMC, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships with our customers and employees.
