Job Description gpac is excited to announce opportunities with leading general contractors looking for talented Construction Cost Estimators to join their teams. These companies offer a robust pipeline of projects extending into 2025! As a Construction Cost Estimator, your primary responsibility will be to meticulously review project plans and specifications, prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, and evaluate pricing for every facet of the project by analyzing construction documents. You will leverage your industry expertise to create comprehensive cost estimates that reflect the local market and project conditions. Key Responsibilities: Thoroughly review project plans and specifications to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing. Play a key role in managing and organizing the bid and proposal processes. Interpret and quantify construction documents across various trade disciplines, including estimating overhead components. Utilize diverse system unit pricing across trades using current and historical market data. Conduct macro-scale system trade-off analyses (e.g., structural, mechanical, and foundation systems). Rapidly perform conceptual estimates with limited design information, ensuring appropriate detail levels for stakeholders using program square footage costs.
