Essential Job Functions The Accounting Representative is a key member of the accounting department, processing and recording various AP & AR transactions, preparing reports and other duties, as needed. This position reports directly to the Controller, following monthly financial closing procedures and ensuring timely and accurate entries. Essential functions are as follows: Process delivery slips and create customer invoices; submit credit memos as needed. Provide customer service support for any invoicing questions or concerns. Apply customer payments and make bank deposits. Perform collections calls/emails for past?due accounts. Check vendor bills for accuracy and post to appropriate GL accounts. Provide AP report to Controller weekly; process vendor payments as directed. Assist the Controller in monthly closing processes, ensuring timely entries and reporting. Maintain master lists and templates for the accounting department. Perform other tasks and duties as directed by management. Job Requirements Basic understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in Excel, experience with accounting software (QuickBooks), data entry skills, organization, attention to detail, confidentiality, and thoroughness.
