Cost Estimator

Summary: Our award-winning client is seeking a Cost Estimator to join their team.As a Cost Estimator with a leading global consultancy focusing on Life Sciences and Manufacturing, you'll play a key role in ensuring the financial success of iconic capital projects. You'll advise clients on costs, manage procurement processes, and deliver cost-effective solutions across all project stages. Responsibilities: Lead client interactions, providing strategic, tactical, and technical cost advice. Collaborate with clients, external consultants, and internal teams throughout projects. Conduct feasibility studies and generate procurement reports. Develop Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROMs) for project budgets. Oversee day-to-day cost management for medium-large scale projects, including procurement, cost reporting, and change management. Implement value management techniques at project inception. Manage all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring efficient prequalification, selection, and contract preparation. Conduct post-contract cost variance analysis and oversee change control, cost checking, and valuation processes. Prepare and present monthly cost reports to clients. Perform value engineering and life cycle costing. Update benchmarking data with new projects to provide accurate cost information to clients. Required Qualifications: Relevant Degree (Master's or MBA preferred). Demonstrated experience leading cost management for capital programs. Experience with large, complex, and multi-phase projects in Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Technology. Knowledge of various project delivery methods, including alternative approaches like Design-Build and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR).
