PILB #3068 Seeking Officers to conduct patrol and oversee fleet for day time routes. Positions based in South Reno with hours generally 9am-5pm or 7am-3pm depending on the day. Must be vehicle 'savvy' with a willingness to learn new skills for needed vehicle maintenance. Must have active driver's license, clean driving record, be 21+ years old, and have a current PILB work card. Credentials needed for start: PILB Work Card, Driver's License, Clean Driving Record, 21+ Years of Age. ATTENTION PILB for Nevada is needed for the job. Must be at least 21 and have the ability to work holidays if it falls on your set schedule. Pay Rate: $19-$20 BOE with opportunity for professional growth, advancement and promotions! Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation to arrive at location to pick up work vehicle, be willing to submit to a background check, and a clean driving record to operate company vehicles. Position Summary The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for tracking our fleet of vehicles, and the maintenance schedules, and ensuring proper maintenance is completed on time. You will also be responsible for communicating with maintenance vendors, employees, and others regarding vehicle usage and needs. Flexible availability is a must to align with the needs of the business requiring some overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Listed below, but not limited to, are some areas of individual responsibilities. This is not a comprehensive list and responsibilities are contingent upon additional needs and requirements of the business and subject to change. Responsibilities: The coordinator will be responsible/accountable for the overall quality of fleet service Responsible for performing skilled mechanical labor in the maintenance of district vehicles Troubleshoot, diagnose and coordinate repairs for vehicle malfunctions; provide routine preventive maintenance; adjust, may remove and/or replace parts and components Conducts road tests of vehicles after the completion of repairs to ensure driver/passenger safety Taking care of vehicle registrations and tags through the state Orders and picks up parts and materials necessary for maintenance and repair work Maintains tools and equipment assignments; keeps shop area clean Prepares accurate and complete vehicle maintenance records and logs Works alongside the Director through planning, coordinating, and directing the day-to-day management of the fleet. Works to continuously improve the processes, quality of service, and operational efficiency Notifies Director of issues in the field, or internally, for timely leadership follow-up Requirements: High school diploma or GED 2 years experience with vehicle maintenance Computer and record-keeping skills Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record Employment is contingent upon the results of background check and drug screen Complete training modules within the first month Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills Adapt to established procedures and to help identify and solve problems Ability to get along with other employees, follow directions, work under stress, add value, and continuously improve Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
