Plant Controller Raleigh, NC Permanent | On-Site Soni's client, a high-growth, private equity-backed manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead the finance and accounting function at its facility near Raleigh, NC. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced environment where operational partnership and the ability to influence business decisions are critical. Reporting to the Regional Controller, the Plant Controller will oversee all site-level accounting and financial activities while managing a team of three. This individual will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining strong internal controls, driving process improvements, and delivering timely, actionable insights to plant and commercial leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep cost and inventory accounting experience, a strong leadership presence, and the ability to operate both strategically and in the details. Responsibilities of the Plant Controller: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Prepare and present the monthly financial reporting package with detailed P&L variance analysis, KPIs, and capital spending Oversee cost accounting and inventory management and their impact on financial results Manage billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets Maintain and enhance the internal control environment and accounting processes Produce daily and weekly operational and performance reporting for site leadership Coordinate intercompany accounting activities as needed File statutory reports, including sales and use tax and other required filings Partner cross-functionally to provide financial insights that support operational decision-making Develop and mentor a team of three direct reports and help drive a reduced month-end close timeline Preferred Skills of the Plant Controller: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility 5+ years of experience in a Plant Controller, Finance Manager, or similar leadership role Strong manufacturing background with cost accounting and inventory management expertise Experience with integrated ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Proven ability to operate in a hands-on, lean environment Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000 + Bonus Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
