In this role, you will lead innovative projects that deliver advanced solutions for a variety of clients. With a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field focusing on power, you will be the key technical expert from the concept phase through to project completion. As part of our team, you'll design custom Low and Medium Voltage Switchgear & Control Solutions that meet specific client needs while adhering to quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines. Key Responsibilities: Create designs for standard jobs, aligning with client specifications. Draft electrical construction drawings with AutoCAD, collaborating with mechanical and wiring teams. Develop expertise in Motor Control systems (480V to 5kV) and Switchgear (480V to 38kV). Work alongside Supervisors and Project Management to interpret client specifications and correspondences. Prepare and validate Bills of Materials for client approval in accordance with Powell standards. Conduct self-design reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness before manufacturing. Provide technical support in client meetings and assist with product troubleshooting. Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers for component specifications and approvals. Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding any issues affecting project scope, budget, or schedule. Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to finalize design packages that include wiring and layout diagrams. Produce AC and DC schematics and wiring diagrams for project approvals and As-Built drawing submissions. Support sales and inspection teams throughout the project lifecycle. Assist production engineers with daily problem-solving. Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and ISO procedures. Engage regularly with clients, suppliers, and OEMs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 4-8 years of related experience required. Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting. Strong background in electrical design and circuitry. Basic understanding of power systems and relay applications. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus. Skills and Abilities: Expertise in managing multiple projects, schedules, and budgets in a dynamic setting. Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Proficient problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Solid understanding of one-line, three-line drawings, and control schematics. Familiarity with 480V to 38kV electrical distribution and switchgear operation. Knowledge of applicable National Electric Code sections and standards like IEEE, ANSI, and UL. Strong customer service orientation. Work Environment: Work primarily in an office environment, with some exposure to shop settings and fieldwork at construction sites or active customer locations.
