POSITION SUMMARY: The Nurse Aide plays a crucial role in supporting patients with basic needs and daily living activities, working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). This position involves ensuring effective communication among patients, families, and colleagues while maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will also be responsible for accurate medical record-keeping and reporting directly to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a certified nursing assistant program is preferred, but not mandatory. OR Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification at the time of hire. Completion of classroom education on Nurse Aide competencies is required during the new employee orientation period, along with maintaining clinical skills throughout employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained upon hire or during the introductory orientation period and maintained throughout employment. COMPETENCIES: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer skills are essential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Our job descriptions serve as an overview and may change over time. Reporting changes in patient status to the RN or LPN promptly. Collecting, documenting, and reporting necessary patient data. Ensuring patient safety and promoting positive health outcomes. Exhibiting flexibility and organization in high-pressure situations. Communicating effectively with the healthcare team. Transporting patients safely within the facility.
