Description Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while addressing broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Implement personalized speech therapy sessions directed at improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions. Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care approaches. Deliver education to patients and their families to facilitate growth beyond the walls of the clinic. Assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care. Keep meticulous and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organization mandates. Stay engaged with ongoing advancements in the field through continued education and teamwork with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methods applicable to individuals of all ages, with a solid grounding in developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
