Senior Transportation Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage transportation engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and compliance. Prepare and review comprehensive roadway, highway, and intersection design plans in line with established local and state standards. Develop detailed traffic control, signing, pavement marking, grading, and drainage plans. Conduct geometric design, safety analysis, and capacity studies for transportation corridors to optimize functionality. Collaborate with municipal and state transportation agencies, clients, contractors, and internal teams efficiently. Prepare accurate cost estimates, specifications, technical reports, and persuasive proposals. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical team members, fostering their professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required. Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory. Minimum of 4 years of experience in transportation engineering and roadway design. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer. Familiarity with AASHTO design standards and state DOT procedures is highly desirable. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
