Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire Location: Scottsdale, AZ Position: Advanced Systems Engineer - Secret Contract: 24 months or longer Pay: $71.75/hour Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire Role and Position Objectives As an Advanced Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems Engineer supporting the SDA GMI program, you will join a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems. Key Responsibilities Translate mission requirements into robust system designs within accelerated timelines. Decompose end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases. Collaborate with developers and integration/test teams to ensure components meet mission needs. Champion technology trends and process improvements throughout the systems development life cycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (Science, Engineering, Mathematics). 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience. Agile development experience preferred. Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire. U.S. citizenship is mandatory. Preferred Skills and Experience Ground system design and scheduling expertise. Tracking mission design and satellite communications knowledge. Experience with cloud-based microservice architecture. Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., CAMEO, MagicDraw). Familiarity with programming languages (Java, Python, MATLAB) for system analysis and prototyping.
