We are currently seeking a skilled Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Engineer to manage and enhance our digital delivery processes within our Advanced Manufacturing sector. This position allows for flexibility in home office location within the U.S. while primarily focusing on site-based activities. As the VDC Lead, you will play a vital role in providing VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management. This will involve aligning technologies with internal and client objectives, defining digital delivery scope for project estimates, and coordinating technical setups and model deliverables. Your responsibilities will include: Creating and implementing BIM Execution Plans for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM). Integrating VDC tasks such as 3D logistics, safety planning, 4D scheduling, and 5D cost and quantity take-offs. Coordinating the use of a Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) throughout the project lifecycle. Managing Clash Detection for design teams and trade partners, leading resolution meetings, and serving as a BIM Subject Matter Expert on projects. Overseeing laser scan data integration and facilitating Scan to BIM initiatives. Conducting training and leading mobile device workshops for field personnel. Leading reality capture efforts, including progress reporting using 360 photos, laser scans, and drone data. Offering in-field technical support and troubleshooting for software and mobile applications. Engaging in stakeholder collaboration, acting as a digital delivery leader for Design and Construction projects. Collaborating during business development, managing trade partner modeling efforts, and ensuring quality construction. Additionally, you will support team growth by developing training materials, providing technical guidance, and mentoring team members. Your on-site leadership will be crucial in coordinating VDC activities with field operations and managing onsite processes. Qualifications: At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry. A strong understanding of BIM technologies and their applications in manufacturing environments. Proficient in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Revizto) and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. A proven track record of onsite leadership of VDC activities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment. Experience in developing and executing BIM execution plans. Solid understanding of construction processes and MEP systems. Note: Candidates should be willing to work onsite at a project near Baton Rouge, LA. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
