Location: UCHealth Cherry Creek Medical Center Department: UIS Cherry Creek Mammo Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $40.40 - $56.56 / hour. This is an onsite position; remote work options are not available. Summary: As a Mammography Imaging Specialist, you will perform essential mammography procedures in line with the highest standards of practice, and uphold our organization's core values and mission. Responsibilities: Review patient history and physician orders while managing scheduling efficiently. Educate patients about procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications as needed, while continuously monitoring patients and responding to any changes in their condition. Provide support to physicians during interventional procedures, such as fine needle aspiration and needle localization. Prepare imaging equipment and select appropriate exposure factors. Implement safety standards and conduct quality control procedures on equipment. Proactively troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions. Position patients effectively and perform imaging procedures. Assess imaging results critically and rectify any issues affecting quality, including re-positioning the patient and repeating the procedure. Accurately enter and report scan results. Utilize critical thinking, make decisive judgments, and demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT-R with State Provisional Mammographer registration and ARRT-M within 12 months. State licensure as required. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with a card in hand prior to start date.
