About the Role As a Registered Respiratory Therapist ECMO Specialist, you will play a central role on our pediatric ECMO team, providing advanced cardiopulmonary support to critically ill children. You'll work in high-acuity settings, collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, and contribute to life-saving interventions using state-of-the-art ECMO technology. What You'll Do Deliver high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients in critical and emergent situations. Operate and manage ECMO equipment during life-saving procedures as part of a specialized care team. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on patient treatment plans and interventions. Participate in clinical decision-making, patient advocacy, and continuous quality improvement. Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced therapists, supporting skill development and clinical excellence. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and professional standards. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS/PALS preferred. Prior experience in pediatric critical care or ECMO environments strongly preferred.
