Competitive compensation, the ability to work on meaningful projects, and a collaborative culture await.Job DetailsThis combined Quality Control & Site Safety Manager role will be responsible for ensuring that all construction operations meet strict quality and safety benchmarks. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, experience managing both quality assurance and health/safety programs, and the leadership to supervise field crews and subcontractors with authority and clarity.You'll lead project inspections, safety audits, training sessions, and reporting protocols while working within established guidelines including the EM 385-1-1 manual, OSHA regulations, and project-specific quality specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control FunctionsManage the three-phase inspection process (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up).Review all submittals for compliance with design documents and contract specifications.Conduct daily quality inspections and maintain detailed records and reports.Monitor project progress against quality benchmarks and suggest corrective measures as needed.Oversee the development and maintenance of project as-builts and closeout documentation.Supervise and instruct subcontractors on quality assurance procedures.Maintain and implement systems for defect tracking and corrective actions.Serve as the liaison during government quality inspections.Site Safety & Health FunctionsImplement and manage the site-specific safety and health program in accordance with regulatory standards.Conduct daily safety walkthroughs, identify hazards, and ensure immediate mitigation.Develop and lead safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks.Oversee the creation and updating of required safety documentation, including the Accident Prevention Plan (APP), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and incident logs.Investigate and report all incidents and near-misses with detailed root cause analyses.Ensure all employees, subcontractors, and visitors comply with PPE and site-specific safety protocols.Participate in pre-construction planning and safety reviews with all stakeholders.Required QualificationsCertifications:USACE Contractor Quality Management (CQM) CertificationOSHA 30-Hour CertificationEM 385-1-1 40-Hour TrainingFirst Aid/CPR/AED CertificationExperience:Minimum 3 years in construction quality controlMinimum 3 years in safety management on federal or large-scale commercial projectsWorking knowledge of RMS 3.0 software preferred but not requiredOther Requirements:U.S. Citizenship or Permanent ResidencyAbility to pass a background check and maintain a clean driving recordAbility to travel and work onsite across various regional projectsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred-but equivalent work experience will be consideredInterested in hearing more?
