Principal Data Science Leader

Initiate and drive advanced analytics projects, highlighting the significance of data in strategic decision-making. Empower others in data manipulation and analysis by sharing your expertise and best practices. Create visually engaging presentations to effectively convey complex data insights. Develop and apply advanced analytical techniques that provide actionable insights for stakeholders and business development teams. Focus on automation, discovering opportunities to implement automated solutions. Play a central role in AI and ML projects, contributing to the development of AI/ML code for various initiatives. Utilize programming languages and SQL for data management, serving as the primary analytical contact across several initiatives. Guide operational partners on product performance and identify opportunities for enhancements and progress. Engage in company-wide data initiatives, building strong relationships across the organization. Continuously enhance your skills in advanced analytics and AI/ML tools, techniques, and languages. Mentor junior data analysts and scientists, helping them grow their skills and understanding. Lead projects from inception to completion with a strategic mindset. Collaborate and advance the use of AI, ML, simulation, and data science solutions within the organization, ensuring effective solutions for unique business challenges. Contribute to the development and promotion of best practices, playbooks, and the company’s intellectual capital. Support enterprise initiatives utilizing AI capabilities such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, LLMs, and classical machine learning. Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and evaluate their applicability in production environments. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 10-12 years of relevant professional experience. 10+ years of software development experience in AI, ML, or data science. Professional programming experience (e.g., Python, R). Extensive experience with AI and machine learning. Experience collaborating with teams and leading data science or analytics efforts. Experience mentoring junior staff members. Proficient in modeling and simulation. Strong program management capabilities. Preferred Skills: Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Operations Research, Computer Science). Experience developing machine learning or signal processing algorithms. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to model innovative behaviors. Strong statistical knowledge to distinguish signals from noise. Experience in individual contributor roles in AI or modeling/simulation. Familiarity with current technologies for solving operational challenges in AI and data science. Understanding of data structures, cloud computing environments, and software engineering principles. Ability to design tailored AI and advanced analytics solutions for customer needs. Experience with program automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies. Demonstrated experience managing technical teams to deliver solutions for clients. Experience addressing optimization problems, such as scheduling. Background in data analytics and visualization. Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a plus. We offer a competitive salary range of $156,000.00 to $235,000.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
