Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Supervise and manage the NICU nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and mentoring. Implement and enforce hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the NICU, including patient care, staffing, resource allocation, and budget management. Maintain high standards of clinical practice, ensuring that all patient care is delivered according to established protocols and best practices. Serve as a liaison between the nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families to ensure effective communication and care coordination. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role in a Level III NICU. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required; certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
